Raised in the small hamlet of Winterhaven, Garrus was bred for the life of a militaristic man from his inception. His father, Anomen, was the Captain of the small guard of Winterhaven and although modest in size and scope of power it was a duty that was taken very seriously. Needless to say at a young age Garrus was pushed into strict discipline and rigorous psychical training to mold him to be the man his father desired. Although reluctant and rebellious at first, Garrus’ path was set when his father was slain in the service of the Hamlet and his realization to follow in his footsteps and attain a position of military leadership. Garrus is the tactical “leader” of his current party although he claims no specific authority or sway over anyone, yet. Garrus has a habit of taking trophies of all sorts from each successful battle, be it a body part or trinket, and also makes it a point to have his long blonde hair tied firmly back with a leather strap when leading his comrades into battle. Garrus has little patience for insolence and although he is not overly lawful or bound to any specific deity he has a strong set of personal codes and conduct and always admires those that hold lofty military or tactical positions. When diplomacy or commands fail he is usually one of the first to wade into battle, but never without a plan. Garrus excels at melee combat and relies almost solely on his longsword, keen intellect, and strong sword arm to guide him to victory. Garrus knows his limitations and his mortality and thus never enters battle without his companions and knows that he is most effectively in concert with his loyal allies when they are within his sight and earshot.
